Description: Who doesn't love pizza? Have you ever tasted some real, homemade pizza though? This recipe is easy to follow and the result will be delicious! Take some time to let the dough rest overnight for extra deep flavour in the crust, or keep it simple and enjoy a quick pizza party!
Resources: Stove, A small cooking pot, Knife, 2 Spoons, Kitchen scale, Mixing bowl, Plastic foil or damp towel, Oven, 2 Rolling pins (or large glass bottles), and 3 Oven dishes or sheet pans.
Ingredients: Olive oil (1TBS), Garlic (1clove), Shalot or small onion (1piece), Can of tomato cubes (400ml), Salt, pepper, and italian herbs, Pizza flour (type 00) or bread flour (450grams), Fresh yeast (15grams), Lukewarm water (300ml), Sugar, Salt (9grams), and Olive oil or another oil (50grams).

A pizza needs a good base. Use fresh tomatoes if they are in season and use canned goods otherwise.

Onions and garlic (00:00 - 05:00)
Resources: Stove, A small cooking pot, Knife, & 1 Spoon.
Ingredients: Olive oil (1TBS), Garlic (1clove) & Shalot or small onion (1piece).
Chop onion/shalot and mince the garlic. Heat olive oil in a pot and add both the garlic and shalot/onion. Fry the vegetables for a couple of minutes.
Add tomatoes (05:00 - 22:00)
Resources: Stove, A small cooking pot, & 1 Spoon.
Ingredient: Can of tomato cubes (400ml).
Add the tomatoes and let the sauce simmer on low heat for about 12-15 minutes.
Seasoning (22:00 - 23:00)
Resources: Stove, A small cooking pot, & 1 Spoon.
Ingredient: Salt, pepper, and italian herbs (to taste).
Season to taste with salt, pepper, and italian herbs.

The second step is making the pizza dough and bringing the sauce, toppings, and dough together to make an awesome pizza! Let's get cooking!

Preparation (00:00 - 05:00)

Weigh all ingredients for the dough.
Mix flour, yeast, sugar, and water by hand (05:00 - 08:00)
Resource: Mixing bowl.
Ingredients: Pizza flour (type 00) or bread flour (450grams), Fresh yeast (15grams), Lukewarm water (300ml), & Sugar (one pinch).
Add flour, yeast, water, and sugar to a mixing bowl, and mix by hand until everything is mixed well. The result should start to come together as a dough.
Add salt and olive oil (08:00)

Ingredients: Salt (9grams) & Olive oil or another oil (50grams).
Add salt and olive oil to your mixing bowl.
Knead the dough (08:00 - 18:00)

Ingredients: None.
Time to use some elbow grease and knead the dough thorougly for at least ten minutes. Try to avoid adding too much extra flour. The dough is supposed to be sticky.
Divide the dough and let it rest (18:00 - 50:00)
Resources: Mixing bowl & Plastic foil or damp towel.
Ingredients: None.
Divide the dough into 3 equal parts, shape them into nice round balls, cover with plastic foil (add a small amount of olive oil to prevent sticking), and let the dough rest for 30 minutes.
Prepare the toppings (21:00 - 36:00)
Resource: Knife.
Ingredients: None.
Prepare the toppings of your liking such as cheese (mozzarella, gruyère, cheddar,...), fresh basil leaves, meat (salami, ham, minced meat, chorizo,...), and vegetables (cherry tomatoes, bell pepper, mushrooms, olives, roasted eggplants, onions, artichokes,...).
Start preheating the oven (21:00)
Resource: Oven.
Preheat the oven at 225°C.
Shape the dough (50:00 - 51:00)
Resource: 1 Rolling pin (or a large glass bottle).
Ingredients: None.
Roll out the dough into three discs with a diameter of approximately 26 cm. You can either use a rolling pin or your hands. Dust the dough with some flour, or use extra olive oil to prevent sticking.
Add sauce and toppings (51:00 - 56:00)

Ingredients: None.
Cover the dough discs with tomato sauce but leave a rim without sauce about 1.5 cm from the edge. Add your prefered toppings.
Bake the pizzas (56:00 - 71:00)
Resources: Oven & 3 Oven dishes or sheet pans.

Bake in a preheated over for 12-15 minutes.

!TIP
The sauce can be prepared ahead and kept in the fridge for up to 3 days.
!TIP
Real pro chefs can prepare the sauce while the pizza dough is resting.
!TIP
You can make the dough in advance and let it rise overnight in the fridge in stead of letting it rise 30 minutes at room temperature. Make sure to take the dough out of the fridge about half an hour in advance to let it return to room temperature.
